About KPV

KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) is the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), retaining the anti-inflammatory signalling of the parent hormone without its pigmentary activity.

Research areas

Intestinal epithelial inflammation models (including PepT1-mediated uptake studies in colitis models); NF-κB pathway modulation; and skin-barrier research. Its small size and stability make it a common tool compound in gut-inflammation work.
